Brittany and Normandy
Brittany
A coastline of steep cliffs and sandy beaches, traditional fishing villages and seaside resorts. Inland, you will find lakes and marshes, rolling hills and farmland.
Normandy
Here is a 600 km of coastline in the Northwest of France. Three completely distinct coasts, from the spectacular Mont St Michel up through La Manche County, across the Calvados and all the way to authentic Le Tréport in the beautiful Seine-Maritime.
Inland, you will find traditional Norman villages with original half-timbered houses along the River Seine.
The famous D Day landing beaches: Utah & Omaha (USA); Gold & Sword (Great Britain) and Juno (Canada), were operational on 5th and 6th June 1944 when three airborne divisions were dropped behind the German lines while 135,000 men and around 20,000 vehicles approached by sea. The landing beaches can be visited on day trips, or multi-day tours from Paris. Or you can stay in the area in our selected accommodation.
