Tangier

According to legend, Tangier was founded by the giant Anteus and is mentioned in some history books as having history dating back to 500 BC.
Today it is the summer capital of Morocco, just a hop, skip and a jump from Spain, and an absolute magnet for travellers and sun seekers.
Tangier overlooks the Straits of Gibraltar and is set in a spectacular bay. It has an interesting and slightly shady past – for a time it was a neutral international zone and attracted characters from all walks of life.
Tangier is also home to museums and palaces, should you need a rest from the sun.
